Are You Living Life to the Fullest?

The phrase, Living Life to The Fullest, can mean many things to each one of us.  But what does it mean to you?

For some, it’s about having meaningful relationships with family and good friends.  For others it’s about pursuing passions, creating a work life that you love, and finding balance between work and play.

There are some that interpret that phrase to mean that they are engaging in a rich spiritual life; that their beliefs and faith drive them to experience this life as temporary yet meaningful in that they live to serve, which often results in a feeling of living life to the fullest.

What do these 5 words mean to you?  Does it mean that you travel more, and that invokes a feeling of living life to the fullest? Is it about what you will do or obtain in the future?

Do you get stuck in thoughts like, when I have …. Then I’ll be living life to the fullest?

There are many people who look so far ahead into the future; planning, dreaming, waiting, hoping, ( for the right partner, the right job, house, car, vacation) that they miss out on a beautiful NOW.

While planning ahead, thinking, reflecting, dreaming are important, so is being present with yourself, your life and who and what is around you now.

Because in the end, now is all we really have.

None of us can go back even one minute in time to change, well, anything…. And the future carries with it so many unknowns- some exciting and some that can feel terrifying.

So how will you live your most, best, beautiful life now?

Some things that get in the way of living your life to the fullest may be:

Anxiety of depression that is going untreated

A toxic relationship that you are having a hard time setting boundaries or leaving

Getting caught up in gossip, comparisons, negativity or drama that rob you of joy

Feeling fatigued from overwork, poor diet, lack of sleep, not exercising

Letting the grind of the day keep you from pursuing passions, growing or taking risks

Allowing fear or old messaging drive your decisions

Things that can help you be present and live to the fullest now:

Find care and treatment for any mental health issues

Start moving your body daily

Lean into safe family, friends  and community for support, companionship and resources

Remember the only one you can control is you so pour your time and energy into being the best you

Find one thing each day that brings you joy, instills a feeling of calm or gratitude

Look for ways to engage with your faith, increase a rich spiritual life, and /or serve your community

Living Life to the fullest can mean many things.  Today is a great day to pause and reflect on the specific things you do or can begin to do that would be in alignment with living your best life now.
